Gussie Lee and THE PIE
The last memory I have of my grandmother, Gussie Lee, was her telling me about going on dates with “fellas” in horse-drawn carriages and being careful not to get her satin slippers muddy. My other strongest memory I have of Gussie Lee is this pie. That memory will become your reality, as you dive into this delicious, sweet treat, that will give you a taste of life in a small west Texas town in the the early part of the 20th century.
